Fiesta Gardens is a festival space built and maintained by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department. Home to many fine cultural events each year. Fiesta gardens is close to downtown, easy to find, and a short, easy drive. The Gardens is a long complex that consists of two areas connected by about 50 feet of trail under trees next to a clear lagoon off the Town Lake portion of the Colorado River. Just east of downtown, Fiesta Gardens is part of the Festival Beach park complex, itself part of the extensive series of parks and trails that line the river through most of the city.

The West end is a large square area crossed with sidewalks, fenced on three sides with a slope down to the lagoon on the fourth. Grassed with trees, there is a 30 X 30 square foot roofed and fully powered bandstand in the center of the area, fronted with a 75 X 95 square foot concrete dance floor, with a mixture of bleachers and chairs available for viewing. Sidewalks circle the bandstand, and the area is well lighted, with 110 volt electrical outlets every 30 feet for the convienience of vendors. There are trees scattered throughout, blending with the park surrounding the festival area.

On the East end is a 4000 square foot climate controlled pavillion withservice bar, rest rooms, and space for workshops, vendors, and tables and chairs. The building has a concrete plaza to the south and to the west with tiled planters containing palm trees and flowers, plenty of space for tables and chairs in shade with a view of the lagoon and the Plaza stage, 20 X 30 square feet in size. About 40 feet south on the plaza from the building this stage has a lattice roof and wooden back rail and has a backdrop of trees, shrubs, and the lake. To the east of the building is another large field, crossed with a sidewalk and dotted with trees also with 110 volt electrical outlets every 30 feet.
